About

I have been photographing for over six years. It started as something I did for the love of it and that part has not changed. It has never been my full-time job, and I am not trying to make it one.

Most of the work is portraits: fashion, headshots, and a fair amount of character and costume work, which is more technically interesting than it sounds and needs a different kind of patience. I shoot in daylight where I can, in places people already know.

The landscape work comes from wherever I happen to be. Most of it is around Tasmania, some of it from Sydney, and a bit of it from trips further out. The wildlife is mostly long-lens and mostly waiting, usually a 200-600mm and a lot of sitting still.

I built the work in Sydney and I live in Hobart now. I work across Tasmania.
